“Visited here on a Sunday at 5pm. Although quiet to start with it soon filled up. The 4 of us had a selection of Tapas to start with and 4 main courses. Everyone enjoyed the food and the servers were polite and answered our questions regarding a few menu choices.“

“We loved our stay at the Castle Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was very clean and well appointed plus the bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere and nice food. Breakfast room was lovely too and a delicious English breakfast to be had. We also loved the free car parking!“

“Attended for the Mother’s Day meal and entertainment. We were blown away by the warmth and heart of the restaurant and the owner. The fact she has kept this place thriving for 25 years is a testament to her. The dim sum starters were lovely and fresh. The entertainment (dancing dragons and lions and magician) were great fun and enjoyed by the adults and children. Will be visiting here again

“My experience of the Grand Café was wonderful.
The ambience was great sophisticated yet relaxed. the occasion was my wife's birthday, we had the burrata and beef tar tar & the mushroom flat bread, the dishes were excellent well balanced. Our main course was Seabass and had us falling off our seats with excitement they looked so good.
We got a happy birthday plate, which got me brownie points.
The chef there is truly talented.
The one sour note was we had a waiter that in my opinion wanted a promotion because he wouldn't go away always interrupting conversations to say not much, and generally hovering around our table.

“Absolutely the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Everything was delicious from the creamy cauliflower cheese, the perfect mashed potato to the stunning salt marsh lamb. The staff were so attentive and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The couple behind us though complained about numerous items after eating EVERYTHING on their plates. I find it abhorrent that people would do this just to get a discount or a free meal. We left exceptionally happy with our meal and all the other patrons seemed to feel the same way. We will definitely be returning to The Shed.“

“The options of places to order from can vary as they close at different times, but the selection of food is good and the drinks are nice. The music can be really loud in places which can make it hard to hear the people you are with but that's to be expected. The staff were really nice and welcoming.“

“Very lovely local café/bar. Came in for breakfast and a coffee, enjoyed it so much came back for a drink at lunchtime too. The inside has a very retro feel from the old school music magazine's around the walls of the establishment, and very cosy areas with nice natural lighting and places to have a good chat or cosy up with a book. The manager is a very approachable lady who gave me an insight into the company of how they use mostly local produce to run the establishment. Definitely will be returning for the Chorizo Hash and the caramel oat milk latte, really hit the spot.“
